By popular acclaim, our next movie will be Welcome to Kutshers
Watch on your own and then join the discussion. Zoom link to be provided closer to the date.

New Year's Greetings 5782

Deadline to send - Friday, July 30

At Congregation Ohr Shalom-SJCC we have developed the custom of sending NEW YEARS GREETINGS to wish our friends and fellow congregants a happy and healthy new year.

We hope you will join us again this year in spreading greetings and warm wishes for 5782.

The NEW YEARS GREETINGS consist of two parts:

1) PART 1 is an alphabetical listing of the names of those contributors desiring only this form of greeting. The charge for the names submitted is $29.00.

2) PART 2 is for those who wish to express personalized greetings. In this part you can express your greeting in your own words (Hebrew or English). The charge for a personalized listing is a minimum of $38.00. Please note that Hebrew listings can only be repeated from previous years due to digital constraints this year. Maximum is 20 words.

3) For listing in both parts, the charge is $65.00. This represents a savings over the cost of the parts individually.

Part 1 is free for Alternative Dues Members.  Parts 1 and 2 are free for Visionaries.

The New Years greetings booklet will be distributed during the week prior to Rosh Hashanah via email.

Yizkor Book 5782

Deadline to send - Wednesday, August 17

Although summer is not yet over, it is already time to think about honoring departed
friends and loved ones by including them in the book we prepare for Yom Kippur
services.
As in previous years, there will be two sections for names:
Section 1, “Eternally in Memory”: Names for which a permanent memorial plaque has
been installed or ordered will be listed in this section. Because these names are listed
automatically, no (further) donation is required, but memorial tzedakah donations are
welcome.
Section 2, “In Loving Memory”: This section will list names that are submitted for
inclusion in the book. The name of each person being remembered will be printed along
with the name of the family submitting the name. The suggested contribution is $18 per
name (this donation is included as part of the Alternative Dues option or Visionary
category). The deadline for submitting these contributions and names is Wednesday,
August 17.
The form to submit the names of those being remembered appears on the next page
along with some additional information. Please print all information clearly.
You may request repetition of names from last year without listing them individually. You
can also add new names or delete or correct a previously listed name in the appropriate
spaces on the form. If you need a reminder of the names you included last year, please
email Karen Wexler at wexlerfarina@optonline.net.

To participate:
• Mail the completed form and your donation to:

Sponsor a Kiddush!

Contact the Office for more info!

During the summer months there is no regular Kiddush sponsored by the shul. We have food and kitchen help during the summer because our congregants keep Kiddush going.

We need your help in sponsoring, shopping, setup and cleanup for July and August.

Please contact the Main office for more details or assistance.
