Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Straight, Jewish. People of all sexual orientations and all gender identities are always welcome at Congregation Ohr Shalom.  It is a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQIA Jews.  

 

Rabbi Avi Friedman is a member of Keshet, a national organization that works for full LGBTQIA equality and inclusion in Jewish life. He will officiate at weddings for LGBTQIA couples and at all lifecycle events for their families - including birth ceremonies, adoption ceremonies, name-changing ceremonies, B Mitzvah, final confessionals and funerals. He is available to consult with members of the LGBTQIA community and advocate on their behalf.

 

Our facility has non-gendered, single-stall bathroom facilities to accommodate all.  Our schools accommodate all children.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Rabbi Friedman directly.
