Israel Action Committee

Formed in the wake of the 2002 terrorist bombings, the Israel Action Committee focuses on projects and initiatives that involve the entire COS-SJCC congregation in the support of Israel.

Programs are designed to enhance congregant knowledge about events in Israel, boost the Israeli economy, and improve morale among its citizens. Previously, the Israel Action Committee raised funds to buy bulletproof vests for an entire platoon of Israeli soldiers, among other projects.

Purchase Israeli arts and crafts, Israeli religious objects, books, etc. If each American Jew purchased $50 worth of Israeli products, that would generate more than $500 million annually. The Israel Export Institute - provides a contact point between Israeli businesses and the international community. Information about programs initiated by the institute, export - import - trade transactions, and a directory of Israeli exporters and manufacturers.
