Shalom Chaverim, which translates to Hello Friends, is a social committee that plans fun-filled, predominantly off-site events that are intended to bring together and introduce the various generations of synagogue members to each other. This multigenerational mixing is integral to the continuation of the warm sense of community that attracted so many of us to the SJCC in the first place.

The Shalom Chaverim events are geared toward adults. Our spring and fall cocktail parties have met with great success and have brought together a diverse group of congregants who otherwise might not have had an opportunity to meet.
